WASHINGTON LIONS CLUB
Rennick Riverfront Park
With Land donated by the Fischer family and matching funds from
the Missouri Department of conservation, the Lions Club developed a beautiful
riverfront plaza in the early 1990's.
In
memory of past Washington Postmaster "Buck" Sincox and a 53 year Lion Member,
We constructed
this pavilion overlooking the Missouri River.
Two
small shelters covering much used picnic tables overlooking the Missouri River.

We
sold a lot of bricks with member names on them, to pay for this BBQ pit and
pavilion

In
1993 this was the future site of our flag pole plaza. The flood waters
eventually rose an additional 6 feet above this parking lot.

The
flag pole committee, left is Donald E. Hillermann, a 44 year lions member,
center is Dr. Kenneth M. Buchmann, club president in 1990, and right is Kenneth
B. Kruel, club president in 1955.

The
actual moment the 100 ft. flag pole was installed at the Flag Plaza
on the
Missouri River in Washington, Mo.
